THE IDEA BEHIND THE TOURNAMENT
More Than A Tournament On The Calendar
Competitive tennis is shaped by the opportunities players have to test themselves. A well-run tournament should offer more than a schedule of matches—it should provide meaningful competition, clear organization, and an environment in which players can focus on performing at their best.
The Magnus Open was conceived around that idea. We want to create tournaments where competitive standards and player experience are treated as equally important, while giving players across different stages of development opportunities to compete, learn, and measure themselves against strong opposition.
Our aim is not simply to add another tournament to the calendar, but to build an event that players look forward to returning to. Each edition gives us an opportunity to learn, improve the experience, and develop the tournament further.

The Magnus Open is structured around a recurring quarterly tournament cycle, creating regular opportunities for players to compete throughout the year. Each quarter brings together two distinct programs: a men’s prize-money tournament and a dedicated junior championship.
While each program serves a different group of players, both are developed around the same principles: meaningful competition, professional organization, and an experience worthy of the players taking part.

Men's Open Singles
Under 12 · Under 14 · Under 16
The men’s singles tournament forms one half of each Magnus Open quarterly cycle, providing players with an opportunity to test their level against a strong field while competing for meaningful prize money. The event is designed around a professionally organized tournament experience, with event-specific formats and requirements determined for each edition.
The junior singles championships form the second half of each quarterly cycle, providing tournament opportunities across the Under-12, Under-14, and Under-16 categories. The program is designed to give developing players meaningful tournament experience, allowing them to compete against their peers, learn through competition, and build experience over time.
A RECURRING PLATFORM
With events planned across each quarter of the year, the Magnus Open is being developed as a recurring tournament program rather than a single annual event. Each edition provides an opportunity to build on the previous one—strengthening tournament operations, learning from participants, and refining the experience as the initiative develops.

One Set. Every Point Matters.
The Magnus Open introduces a quickfire match format designed to create a fast-paced and decisive tournament experience. Matches are played as a single set, making every game and every point matter from the opening moments of the match.
Games use a deciding-point format at deuce, while a 7-point tiebreak is played at 6–6 to determine the set. The result is a compact format that keeps matches moving while preserving the competitive nature of the game.
The format is a defining part of the Magnus Open experience, giving the tournament its own distinct character.
